...Mr. & Mrs. Paul Carter...

On December 27th, 2008, Paul Carter and Cassie Bowman became Mr.and Mrs. Paul Carter. The ceremony was beautiful and intimate. Cassie's grandfather walked her down the aisle of the little church in Washoe Valley. There were tears in his eyes.

The reception was was a great party including both their family and friends. It was fun to watch the interaction and all of the details that Cassie and Paul had planned. They both danced to songs from Grease, so cute! I think just about everyone danced to YMCA. Grandma and Grandpa were out on the dance floor for several songs and not just the slow ones.

Their attendants were exceptional, tending to the needs of the bride and groom throughout the evening. The bridesmaids and the maid of honor were fabulous all night! The groomsmen were very entertaining. Heartfelt toasts came from both sides, making it clear that they support Paul and Cassie in their marriage and in the friendship they share.  

When Cassie and her grandfather danced, the whole room was in tears. It was incredibly touching, they obviously share a very special bond.

Watching Paul and Cassie through out the evening, I was touched by the love that they share. I feel blessed to have been a part of their wedding.

Thank you Paul and Cassie! Ray and I wish you all the love in the world! We appreciate you choosing us to document your wedding day.

...Paul & Cassie E Session...

Paul and Cassie are getting married December 27th, 2008. They both have very full schedules, so we waited until just before the wedding to do their E Session. Paul is a teacher and a coach and Cassie is going to school, coaching and working. For their session we went up to Tahoe, to Sand Harbor. What a fantastic location and of course beautiful subjects! The lighting was perfect and the weather was great! We did these just before the weather turned bitter cold!  

Paul and Cassie, thank you so much for the opportunity to be a part of your special day. Ray and I are honored to be doing your wedding portraits. We had a great time in Tahoe!

...Ronnie and Nikolett...

Sunday, Ray and I travel to the Sacramento area to shoot a wedding. The bride, Nikolett and I had been communicating for a few months via email. Meeting Nikolett for the first time was as if I had known her forever. She and her mother Eva were wonderful! So welcoming and warm. Nikolett had fabulous (not to mention HOT) attendants. Her girls were very attentive and helpful. They took care of every last detail. Before the ceremony began she requested to see her father and brother. Once they came in she said “I am good now, I saw my boys”.  It was obvious that Nikolett and her family are extremely close. Her father was the first to tear up as the ceremony was to start. Eva told me that Nikolett is there only girl and that they wanted the day to be whatever Nikolett wished for. She also made the beautiful veil that Nikolett wore.  As we were waiting for the guests to be seated and the ceremony to begin, all Nikolett wanted was to walk down the aisle to her groom.

The wedding was held at the beautiful Arden Hills Resort. Faren, a wedding coordinator at Arden Hills did a fantastic job of keeping the day organized and smooth. The gorgeous flowers and centerpieces were done by Sandi Allcut and her husband.

One funny side note- just before the walking down the aisle, the news came that there was not any music with the wedding march for Nikolett to walk  to…That was not a problem…the groomsman hummed the tune for her as she strolled down the aisle. It was very touching!

 

Nikolett and Ronnie- I wish you both the very best in life! Thank you so much for entrusting us to document one of the most important days of your lives!

...Rob & Shelle...

 He and his bride-to-be planned to marry in Tahoe the evening of a full moon. Shelle has a love for full moons. Shelle also has a love for Mazey. Mazey is Shelles' vizsla. To start the weekend, Friday morning we met for a hike.  It was a sort of Vizsla reunion. The breeder that Shelle purchased Mazey from lives in Tahoe and joined them on the hike. The meadow was beautiful and the dogs were amazing.  I've never seen so much energy. What beautiful runners.

Rob requested a photojournalist style shoot. That gave me the pleasure of spending Saturday afternoon with both of them. I found out that they met through Rob's Seminars. Shelle told me how much she loves Rob and what an amazing guy he is. She told me how Rob came along at the perfect time in her life. I watched them interact lovingly with each other and as the afternoon grew later I watched Rob getting more and more nervous. The nervousness definetly did not come from a lack of love. In his email, Rob called her his Goddess. Although, I do not know them very well, their love for each other is evident.

Shelle and Rob wrote their own vows and were to exchange them at Sugar Pine Point State Park. Shelle said that they were going to keep it casual and "off the cuff".  Although, she was nervous that Rob may be a little more prepared than her. (Maybe do to the fact that Rob works in a field that requires a lot of public speaking.) Mazey was to be the Ring Bearer of sorts. She even had a jeweled collar.  Once we arrived at the ceremony location and Mazey caught sight of the many ground squirrels, that all changed. Mazey did do a wonderful job of holding the rings, though. When it came time to exchange vows, there wasn't a dry eye. The vows were so intimate and personal. So full of love and adoration. I felt like an intruder among a beautiful couple pouring out their hearts for one another.

Rob and Shelle, thank you... it was a true honor sharing your special day. Thank you for your trust in documenting your wedding. I wish you the best in your life together!

...Mr. & Mrs. Bithell...

They met when Courtney's father Doug brought Warren home for Thanksgiving dinner. Warren was new to the area and Courtney's dad was Warrens training officer. Little did Doug know that when Warren and Courtney met, it would be love at first sight. Just 8 months later, they were married in Courtney's home town.

Ray and I were honored to photograph their special day!  The ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Bridgeport Ranch- Barns and Terrace. The location has breathtaking views. Linda Dore and her talented staff provided the wonderful food. The girls were so nice, they came around while we were taking portraits with water and appetizers for everyone. There was an Italian Soda Bar for the guests enjoyment. Courtney's Grandmother and Aunt made two beautiful cakes.
