I cannot believe it has been so long since I posted a blog! It is not due to lack of things happening! I promise to update this with all of our happenings by the end of the week! I have a lot to post about....

Here is a little teaser from a beautiful wedding we did a few weeks ago...Maybe they are planning what their wedding will be like. :)
I cannot believe it is June already! This year is just flying by! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE summer. I just can't believe it is here! We have so much going on this month, personally and professionally.
The kids last day of school was last Thursday. We had a wonderful year at MES and are so thankful! Connor Ray really excelled this year and grew leaps and bounds! We SO needed this year for Connor. He has grown academically and socially. We were so blessed with both of the kids teachers. Mrs. Mattinson and Mrs. Harker were Connors teachers for 3rd grade. They were both wonderful. Both ladies had Connor figured out in about a minute! Mrs. Harker made sure to stay on Connor and encourage him to do well. She also made him feel comfortable and loved. Connor would hate for me to say this but at the end of the day when he had a choice to give Mrs. Harker a high five or a hug- he preferred the hug!:) He had a great year and made great strides. Hannah Beth had a great year, too. Her teacher, Mr. Harvey summed it up best... They had 3 Hannah's this year- the quiet- talk to nobody Hannah, the perfect hard working Hannah and the light- hearted loving Hannah. Mr. Harvey challenges Hannah Beth, just like she needs. She was pushed and learned a lot this year. Hannah was also a part of SSA (Safe Schools Ambassador) Program. Hannah really shines in programs like this. She enjoyed it very much! Mr. Harvey will "loop" with Hannah next year and be teaching the same class for 6th grade. Ray and I are both excited for this! Thank you MES! We are looking forward to the next 3 years!

Do you have a list of favorite blogs? I have a few blogs that I check pretty often. Some of them I may even stalk. shhh! This is a short list of my favorites- for today- my list seems to be forever growing! I am still trying to fit blogging into my everyday life. I am trying to in between- proofing, meeting with clients, shooting portrait sessions, ordering and delivering portraits, laundry, dinner, homework, children, home projects, horses, well I think you understand- to post more often!. I hope you check out these blogs and enjoy them. As always, I love to hear what you think, so leave a comment or two ;).
[b}ecker- I love his blog, his randomness and of course his portraits! His [b] school blog is great, too! Full of information and a great site for photographers! Ray thinks its funny how I check this blog almost daily and update him on what [b] thinks and is up to. There is just so much useful info on his sites!
Jessica Claire- Oh my gosh - her new blogsite is so cool! I love her style and how she isn't afraid to say what she thinks. She and [b] are an item and I think they are hilarious together. They both seem to love life. Oh- and her ShootSac is wonderful! I finally bought one a few months ago. I LOVE it!
The Pioneer Woman- I just came across Ree's sight yesterday! I fell in love! I love how she "keeps it real", how honest she is about life, how she is SO in love with her husband aka Marlboro Man, how she embraces her life on the ranch- and yet is painfully honest about it, and how she expresses her love for her "punks". I cannot go without saying that I really LOVE her story "Black Heels to Tractor Wheels"- SO worth reading! What a romantic story! Also, check out her cooking section! I was looking at it last night- I was STARVING! Made me want to get out of bed and make onion strings! If only I had buttermilk!
daily relish journal- Maile has a great writing style and of course beautiful photography! Her site is fun to check out!
The Happiness Project- Gretchen has a great way of looking at things. I am not sure that you should have to think about being happy- but I know there are days that I need to be reminded of all that I have and am blessed with in life. A great site to reflect on, be reminded and to guide you along.
Okay- I don't want to overwhelm you so I will end my VERY SHORT LIST there. I definitely have more favs. I'll just have to save them for another post.

As some of you know, I sometimes refer to Ray as the Stable Boy. It started out as an inside joke. Kind of makes since, you know RedBARN, we should have a stable boy right? Actually, I wish I did have one some days. :) Well, Ray is always there helping me out. Whether it be holding the reflector, fetching needed items, holding the clients jacket, bringing out the props or most importantly being my second shooter. I could never have gotten this far without his support. He has been my biggest fan and I really appreciate everything he does! Back to the Stable Boy, here are a couple of quick images of Ray helping out on a photo shoot. Love you Honey!
