...Lacee...

A few weeks ago we did a Senior Session with Lacee, her horse and two dogs. Lacee had seen us a couple of summers ago at the Onion Festival. She and her mom were looking all over for RedBarn Photography and we are so glad they found us! Lacee is a Senior at DHS, she plays soccer, is in FFA and works at Great Basin Equine. What a beautiful girl with a great personality, too! When they came to see their proofs Lacee didn't waste any time choosing her favorites! She is very decisive!

...BMW...

Bradley Michael, what a handsome guy! He has always been good looking.  He has the best features of his mom and dad. Some of the things that i love about Brad have nothing to do with how photogenic he is...He is great with my kids even though they are much younger, he is helpful around the house (at least at my house), he has a great personality, he is quite the funny man- just ask him about the gun show or his other special talent, he is a child of God and believes, he has confidence and it shows without being over the top, he is thoughtful and thankful, pretty much just fun to be around.  

Brad has watched me take thousands of photos of his sister Hailey. He has allowed me to take a few of him, but is usually not too interested. This year he changed his mind- a little. He saw the number of portraits that I have up in the studio of Hailey and compared it to the number of him that we have up. Hailey had just a few more. I got the felling Brad was not thrilled about that.  So he allowed me to take a few more this year. not enough to cramp his style, just enough to maybe get a few on the wall.

...The Twin Falls Wall Family...

When I was in Idaho, this July I had the experience of photographing my brother Mike and his family. I have to preface this post with the reason it was an experience and not an opportunity. I don't remember ever working so hard to get a family photo before! Between Mike not looking and constantly moving, Laura scolding I mean gently talking to the children about touching each other and such, and then there was Judi- just trying to get a great photograph of her family. She was so sweet and tried to just keep smiling all the while ignoring everything that was happening around her. In the middle of the shoot we had a toddler that came out of nowhere and continually tried to invade the photo. Oh and I cannot leave out the part of Connor Ray being a complete goofball in an attempt to get everyone to smile at the same time. I felt like I was being torn in five directions and when it was all said and done- I slept like a baby! After I won at Scrabble of course! Sorry, Laura I had to include that! :)

In the end I captured some of my favorite family photos ever. It could be that I am a little biased...

Thank you Judi, Mike, Laura, Hailey and Brad for allowing me to capture some beautiful family portraits of all of you! I love you guys!

...Veronica...Part Two...

You may have seen Veronica here before. She is one of our Senior Repsfrom DHS. For Veronica's Official Senior Session we went up to Sand Harbor. The lighting was exceptional! Veronica's outfits were pretty fabulous, too! Veronica is such a beautiful girl and has so much going for her. She is gorgeous. smart and outgoing. She has been a great Senior Rep and I am sure she will have a wonderful Senior year!

...Kate...

A few weeks ago Ray and I did a Senior Portrait session with Kate. We met out in Genoa- one of my favorite place to shoot. Kate brought along her Mom Cathy and her dog Lucy. Cathy was so fun to talk with,  she and Kate are both so easy going. Cathy had heard about us from Beth, Nicole's mom. Thank you Beth! Kate is a senior at DHS. She volunteers with Kids and Horses, which I think is wonderful! What a great program to be a part of. Kate also volunteers as a candy striper at the hospital. We had a great time with Kate and Cathy.

They came in last night and viewed the proofs and I just love it when clients are as excited as I am about portraits!

Thank you both so much for having us do Kate's Senior Photos. I am glad that you love them!

Kate- I absolutely LOVE your pendant and the reason that you wear it. :)

...Happy Birthday Dad!...

Today is my dads birthday! Happy Birthday Dad! I love you so much! I want to thank you for all that you do and all that you are! I appreciate the time you take to spend with us and wish we had more of it. Thank you for the trips to the beach, for taking the kids fishing, for giving Connor tools that he will not be allowed to use until he is 20, for buying your horse crazy little girl a horse, for shoveling too much horse ****, for hauling hay from north to south, for bringing home kittens (because you love cats so much), for coming with us to Disneyland, for taking us kids to Disneyland, Seaworld, San Diego Zoo, the beach, Eagle Lake, Tahoe, Susanville, and on too many trips to mention,thank you for holding and loving my babies, for letting Hannah "Dress you up", thank you for making peanut butter cookies with me, for sending me yellow roses on my birthday, thank you for praying for my family, thank you for taking me to work with you and letting me keep EVERYTHING I found, thank you for allowing me to keep something in each room of the house so that I knew I belonged there, thank you for driving 200+ miles to get my binkie, thank you for ALL of the Valentine gifts and cards- I hope I am always your valentine, thank you for naming me Junk Yard Sally, thank you for teaching me how to drive in your gigantic dually around some really scary turns, thank you for choosing Mammoth instead of Tahoe when you broke your leg, thank you for finally talking to Ray- even if it was only because Hannah Beth came along :), thank you for never turning your back on me and always loving me no matter what, thank you for FOREVER working on our houses, for teaching Ray so much (including to turn the breakers off first), thank you for taking us to church and teaching us about God, for your guidance, thank you for being there when I need to talk, for hanging out at our house,  thank you for not being afraid to say it like it is and to show your emotions, thank you for loving my mom, thank you for knowing that we are all different and we all make mistakes, thank you for putting together swing sets, for carrying my babies everywhere, for understanding when they pooped, spit up and peed on you- all in one day, thank you for the time we spent in Susanville, thank you for all of the fun school clothes shopping trips, thank you for my first pair of Oakley's- even though Mom didn't speak to us for the rest of the day (Sorry Mom), thank you for not charging me for the bent screens, thank you for not being afraid to remind me about getting caught at the beach, thank you for always reminding us how important family is, Thank you for being a wonderful DAD! I love you!

I think that is the longest run-on sentence I have EVER written...there is so much more but only so much room...

I am so thankful for my parents!  I had a great childhood and am ever so grateful for everything they did for me!
